Alright, this is my first time writing drabbles for anything. The Lord of the Rings seems a bit too dignified for one hundred-word fics, so I decided to do a couple of LOST ones.
Please keep in mind that they will definitely not be as good as some of the other ones you've been reading. However, I would definitely appreciate some advice so I may get better at the craft.
That said... here they be.
Title: Love-Hate Relationship.
Featured Character: Sawyer.
Pairing: Sawyer and Kate.
Rating: PG-13, to be safe.
Sawyer sits there and thinks of Kate and smiles. He thinks of how their kiss was like an oasis in the middle of the desert. He thinks of how he wanted to put his arms around her and… Hell, he didn’t know.
Sawyer sits there and thinks of Kate and frowns. He thinks of her words to him and his words to her. She knows his secret. She hates him for it and he hates her for knowing it.
Sawyer sits there and thinks of Kate and wonders how you can despise someone and yet want them so badly.
Title: An Ocean of Guilt.
Featured Character: Sayid.
Pairing: None.
Rating: PG.
Sayid walks down the sandy beach and is ashamed of himself. He knows that Sawyer had lead them to believe that he was withholding life-saving medicine but that still doesn’t clear Sayid’s conscience. He knows that even Jack had agreed to use brutality on Sawyer but somehow he can’t forgive himself. He has broken his promise- he has to punish himself.
And what better way to punish yourself than voluntarily going to map out an island with a mysterious monster lurking behind the trees?
Sayid smiles and walks faster. Behind him, the roar of the ocean pounds away at his ears and eats away at his soul.
Title: Obvious.
Featured Character: Walt.
Pairing: Michael and Sun.
Rating: G.
Walt knows. Michael thinks he’s too young and tries to shield his eyes, but Walt isn’t a fool. He sees the way that the Korean lady, Sun, looks at Michael when her weird husband’s not around. And he sees the way his dad returns her glances when he thinks that Walt’s attentions are placed elsewhere. But they always look away when Jin comes back from wherever he’s been and when Michael remembers that his first duty is Walt.
It’s a shame, Walt thinks, because he misses his mom and yet thinks almost guiltily that Sun wouldn’t be a bad replacement.
So, please, don't hesitate to give me constructive criticism! I need all the help I can get.
