Title: Waiting for the Sun
Author: Achipiquon Que
Characters: Hurley, Jack, Kate, Charlie
Summary: The people closest to Charlie have a rough night after he returns from captivity.
Rating: PG
Author's Note: I swear, I wrote most of this, then completely forgot that I wrote it. I stumbled across it one evening and read it, vaguely remembering it, and liked it enough that I had to finish it. No, I wasn't drunk when I wrote it. I think it was just one of those days. At any rate, I like the concept of "in-between" stories--stories that happen in between the bits you actually see. Things that are implied but never detailed. This is one of them. It is really incidental that it follows up on “The Best Years of My Life” and “The Last Story Jack Wants to Tell,” since it was written before either. The point of view alternates between Hurley, Kate, and Jack. Constructive criticism is desired. Thanks go to

"Two of us are gone. Kidnapped by this creep who says he's from Ontario. And what can we do about it, you know? What happens if we don't find you? What happens when he comes back?"
