So in-character for Sawyer. Even the way he nicknames the others--"the Doc and the Pretty Boy and the Rock Star too"--is perfect. I can see him thinking about people in terms of labels instead of names.

I love how he's not letting himself have false hopes. And I especially adore the last part. "One sense of self-preservation." Even if the others don't understand it.
