Title: Dead in the Water

Summary: 100 words, Charlie’s hope for redemption just left him with a dead fish.
“What’s really amazing is that you think this means you can fend for yourself!”
“Oh, what would you know!?”
And the bickering siblings were off again, leaving Charlie with his crude spear and slain fish. At some point, he thought that he wouldn’t have to be lonely on this island after all. Shannon could have been the person that distracted him from drugs. She’d seemed so eager to talk to him, ask for help. If he was helping someone, there wouldn’t be a need for heroin.
Over the roar of the ocean, he swore he could hear his heart breaking.
