Title: The One
Author: BlueRuin26
Rating: PG-13 for swearing
Pairing: None
Summary: Sawyer knew he wasn't the most popular among them. *No spoilers*
Disclaimer: Sawyer and Kate are the property of ABC and I am only borrowing them for the purposes of this story.
Notes: I've written a 100-200 word drabble for each of the main characters on Lost.
I wasn't going to win any popularity contests and I didn't give a damn. I only cared about looking out for number one. These people weren't my friends and they certainly weren't my family, so why should I care about them? I didn't need any of them. I had made it on my own through most of my life just fine, thank you.
But there was one among them that got to me. I don't know how she did it. I was used to seducing women and taking advantage of them. Women are easy for the most part. A few nice dinners, some sweet talk, a romp in the sack and they're eating out of the palm of your hand. But she was different. I could tell she wouldn't buy into all that bullshit. She was use to taking care of herself, being on her own and not taking shit from anyone. She was strong, independent and feisty. I liked that. Maybe, just maybe I had finally met my match. I guess only time would tell.
